Faculty and Workstation Instructor – Basics Course Hair Restoration

The 2016 Basics Course provided an introduction to, and complemented, the more advanced topics covered in the more advanced hair restoration courses. It included didactic lectures, hands on workstations, case presentations and panel discussions.

Participants learned the elements essential to creating a natural hairline for both men and women and how to counsel patients regarding what will look most appropriate if there is a possibility they might lose more hair. Participants also learned the basics of recreating crown whorls, while prioritizing the areas of the scalp that are most important to transplant, and the pitfalls that should be avoided.
