Frontal Hairline Restoration – 3,500 Hair Grafts

This 41-year-old male presented with a Norwood hair loss classification of 4, characterized by significant frontal hair loss. His donor hair was dense with good body and wave.  He had kept his hair long to help camouflage his hair loss. After consultation with Dr. Wasserbauer it was decided to perform FUT donor strip harvest. With his long, thick hair, the thin donor scar would never be visible, and he preferred not to shave his head to do a FUE donor harvest. During surgery, Dr. Wasserbauer and her team transplanted 3,466 hair grafts, which totaled 6,844 hairs.

The after photos were taken during his 12-month follow-up visit. Notice the extremely natural hairline density transition. Dr. Wasserbauer also prescribed oral finasteride and oral minoxidil to strengthen and maintain his existing hair.
