Dutasteride Mesotherapy – a new way to use an old drug for regrowing hair?

Medical Therapy for hair loss in men and women has been an exciting development. Unfortunately, it is challenging for laymen and even professionals to sometimes differentiate between effective and ineffective treatments. There are often inconsistent responses from patients and no scientific studies.

Mesotherapy is a treatment that involves injecting therapeutic substances into the face or scalp.  For years, this term has referred to a multitude of substances, some worthwhile and effective, others not.

Recently, Dutasteride Mesotherapy for hair loss has had some promising results published, with at least 10 articles since 2009 reporting on its efficacy and safety.  In particular, it is an attractive alternative for those who would like to avoid oral therapies, and for those patients who would like to focus on crown (vertex) regrowth.

Dr. Wasserbauer is offering mesotherapy with Dutasteride concurrently with Alma TED as an injectable therapy on a schedule of every three months. Although there is never a guarantee of a positive response, there are no side effects, and there have been some very encouraging results cited in the medical literature.
